Pear revisited

The pear is a challenging fruit to paint! In my last pear as I tried to capture the form I lost the intensity of colors. I think this one is better - but, not quite there. You will see many more on my blog - am going pear shopping!

Warm-up

Back to my studio after a three week Hiatus. Feels great! Did quite a few quick sketches to warm-up. A few more days of sketching and I will get back to painting. Can't wait :) 

DREAM - A work in progress

A 'WORK IN PROGRESS' as many other paintings lying in my studio. The pleasure of signing my artwork knowing it is complete is elusive.

It begins with big bold strokes, pushing the creamy paint around with a brush just the way I want. Slowly the work starts looking close to what I have in mind and my strokes become more deliberate. Finally,  when I am really close to feeling it is done - I can tell something is wrong. I keep painting and no matter how much I work on it I can't lay down my brush knowing the painting is  complete.

I have signed 'DREAM' and it hangs in our living room 'incomplete'.
